IRONMAN 4 March 2004, 5:29 PM

Pre race comments by Cameron Brown

Hi there,

Well the sun has finally come out down in Taupo and should be here for Saturday's race, I hope, after having the worst February weather in about 100 years!

The training has gone well and I'm looking forward to race day. Norman Stadler from Germany will be a big threat, the two times Australia Ironman Champion and a 3rd and 4th in Hawaii, he is the one to watch on the bike as in past years with Hellreigal, Sandvang and Steve Larsen he will be searching for a big lead. Stadler had a five minute lead off the bike in Kona last year and I had to run him down, catching him at the energy lab, 25km into the marathon.

As all ways Ironmanlive will be covering the race with live TV going to the net so look for some good pictures on race day.

Hopefully it might be four wins in a row but that will be tough with the field looking very strong for the 20th running of the second oldest Ironman in the world.

Kind Regards,
Cameron Brown
