In May 2011 I left the UK with my wife Sarah in search of a fresh adventure, away from the monotony of our desk bound lives in Sheffield. One year on finds us cleaning and waiting tables in Wanaka, New Zealand.

Christophe Berthomier, a three-time ironman finisher is no stranger to endurance tests. In 2007 he completed a desert marathon in the south of Morocco and took on the gruelling Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge in December 2010.
