Focus on the Podium delivering Silverback Sesta

By Francoin Visser

The Sesta provides a fast cross-country and marathon bike that eats up distance efficiently. The stiffness to weight ration of the frame is excellent, providing a good platform for the BURST technology to do its job in providing seamless grip, control, and comfort. The main pivot location is designed for modern single or double chainring configurations, and the overall leverage ratio gives the rider a responsive feeling, coupled with small bump sensitivity and big hit control.

The Silverback Sesta will go toe-to-toe with any of the other premium XC race bikes on the market. The platform's accolades such as Eurobike award, German Design Award, World Cup Victory and all-round race performance have- and are still proving it time and time again.

The Sesta is a purebred, uncompromising race bike. We steer away from proprietary parts, other than frame, to make the bike easier to live with in the long run.

The BURST rear suspension (90mm) used on the Sesta possesses hardtail-like pedalling response while simultaneously retaining small bump absorption and almost bottomless-feeling big bump compliance. Paired with the 100mm SID, the bike is not harsh to ride, and it handles speed effortlessly, which makes it ideal for tracks with rough terrain and fast descents, providing more long term comfort and helps to combat fatigue both physically and mentally.

a Monocoque asymmetrical rear triangle with integrated drop-outs and a 142 x 12mm thru axle creates a very stiff rear end.

Attached is the guide to the Sesta - a PDF document that tells you about this remarkable machine. Grab a coffee and have a read, well worth a couple of your minutes.
Pro Tested. Race Proven.

The Sesta has performed excellently in the Cape Epic stage races it took part in with multiple top 10 finishes. On the World Cup circuit it has also achieved great results for OMX Pro Bike Team as proved again recently in Cairns, Australia with Annie last finishing in second place. The Sesta is the flagship full-suspension race machine from Silverback, featuring a lightweight Toray carbon frame including rear triangle and linkages.

Other OMX PRO Team riders currently riding the Sesta also includes Martin Gluth and the very skilled Isla Short that's making a splash in the U23's.
